Joyce Cordell Meador, 83, of Heth, Arkansas, passed away on March 18, 2023, at her daughter's home where she has resided the last year. Joyce was born in Dewitt, AR. to Mr. Bob Ray Cordell and Mrs. Hester Alice Cordell on July 2, 1939. She started to school in Dewitt and continued in Hughes, AR. She was married to James Wesley Meador Sr. for many years and together they had 3 children Jimmy, Sammy and Fairy.

Over the course of her life, she had many accomplishments. She was in the hospitality industry, sales and then later furthered her education and received her degree as a Respiratory Therapist. She worked many years at Crittenden Memorial Hospital. Her compassion as well as her excellence in her professional role were to be commended. She was a very active member in church and held positions as music director, kitchen coordinator, Sunday school teacher and participated in all programs including Vacation Bible School. She attended several mission trips and many were blessed by her presence.

Joyce was proceeded in death by her parents, Bob Ray Cordell and Hester Alice Cordell: brother, Donald Ray Cordell; and grandson, Ray Meador. Survivors include: Siblings, Audrey Cordell Wright and Bobbie Jean Coleman, Children: Jimmy Meador, Sammy (Stephanie) Meador, Fairy (Rusty) Miller, Grandchildren: Stacie Meador, Dawne King, Laura Meador, Sarah (Robert) Hill, Shannon Hudson, Stephen (Jennifer) Meador, Jordan Meador, Jeremy Miller, Wesley Miller, and 19 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, AR. on Monday March 27, 2023. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.
Officiating will be Brother Ralph Pipkin, Brother Sonny Williams will speak and the eulogy will be delivered by Bobby Ward. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Stephen Meador, Robert Hill, Jeremy Miller, Wesley Miller, Lee Whittley and Frank Garcia. Honorary pallbearer is Andrew Murphy.
