Amos Willard Treadwell, age 100 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, February 20th, 2023 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas. He was born in Marshall, Arkansas on March 2nd, 1922 to Walter Treadwell and Nora House Treadwell. Amos married Madge Bernell Ragland Treadwell on March 31st, 1943 and to this union was born two girls, Molinda and Terry.

Amos was a World War II veteran of the United States Army. He was drafted on November 12th, 1942. After basic training he was deployed to Europe. He was wounded in action in France and Germany. During his time serving our country he received the E.A.M.E Theater Ribbon with 2 Battle Stars and a Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster. He fought in Normandy and Rhineland and was honorably discharged on September 5th, 1945. Amos attended Williams Baptist College in 1968 and received his degree in Theological Seminary. He was the pastor at Morning Star Baptist Church until his retirement. His wit and wisdom will be greatly missed by his community and his family.

Survivors include his daughter, Molinda Treadwell Watts; grandchildren, Patrick Dwain Watts, Jennifer Watts Neal, Richard Tilley and James Tilley; great-grandchildren, Melissa Tilley Passmore, Rebekah Tilley, Charles Tilley, Zoe Tilley, Emma Tilley, Bentley Tilley, Jonathan Watts, Annabelle Watts, Kennedy Neal, Shianne Neal and Amare Neal; great-great grandchildren, Daniel Passmore and Bristol Passmore; one sister, Mary Ellen Treadwell Watts; and many extended family and friends who will also mourn his passing.

Amos is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Nora Treadwell; his wife of 66 years, Madge Treadwill who passed away in 2009; daughter, Terry Ellen Treadwell Tilley; sister, Della Mae Treadwell Watts; brother, J.T. Treadwell; and granddaughter, Kari Holsted Tilley.

Funeral services for Amos will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 23rd, 2023 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. James Horton and Bro. Clayton Lesley officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 till 2:00 preceding the service. Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery where Amos will be laid to rest beside his wife, Madge with Military Honors. Bearers will be Patrick Watts, Dennis Neal, Amare Neal, Richard Tilley, Austin Passmore and Charles Tilley.
