Bonnie "Lina" Avaline Wacaster

Lina C. Wacaster of Marion, AR passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. Born Bonnie Avaline to parents Byron ''Bonnie'' Smith Crawford and Harry Allen Crawford of Hughes, AR, Lina began her life in Memphis, TN on April 19, 1934.

In 1954, Lina married her Hughes High School sweetheart Bob Wacaster and they shared 61 happy years of marriage. Bob and Lina also shared a passion for all things Arkansas Razorbacks and their love of nature and the outdoors at their hunting and fishing cabins at East Lake near Holly Grove, AR and on Nubbin Ridge Road near Ravenden Springs. Aside from Bob, her favorite partners for those activities include her beloved son, Rusty, his wife Judi and her grandsons Greg and Andy.

Besides her parents, Lina was preceded in death by her husband Bob. Her survivors include son Rusty (Judianne) of Marion; grandsons Gregory S. Wacaster of Fayetteville, AR and Andrew E. Wacaster (Shannon) of Brighton, TN; sisters Dottie C. Joiner (John K.)of Memphis, TN, Mary C. Spain of Cordova, Tn; sister-in-law Myrna ''Dinky'' Little of Kissimmee, FL; and three very special great- grandgirls Zophia, Savannah and Celena.

Visitation for Lina will take place Friday, February 17 from 2:00 pm till 3:00 pm at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, AR followed by a graveside service at Crittenden Memorial Cemetery in Marion at 3:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Methodist LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN.
