Coy L. BakerI am a Veteran.

of Mountain Home, AR

December 14, 1933 - February 7, 2023

Coy L. Baker, 89, the loving husband of 66 years and 362 days to Betty R. Baker and father to Rick Baker and Brenda McDonald, went to be with our Lord and Savior on February 7, 2023.

Coy was born on December 14, 1933 to Clyde and Sarah Baker in Cullman, Alabama. He was the youngest, along with his twin, of six brothers, Terrell, Warren, Charles, Tilford, and Roy.

Coy retired in 1972 from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant where he served for 20 years. He retired from the United States Post Office with a 20 year career in 1993. He loved his family very much. He married Betty on February 10, 1956. They made their home in Kennett. In December, 1996, he and Betty moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas. Coy loved his family and he loved his Lord, but from the time he was a teenager until 3 years ago, his passion was being on the golf course. He had many friends from that sport and he enjoyed playing with them all.

Coy always looked around to see if there was anyone that needed help in any way. He was a good Christian man with a servant's heart. He became a Christian in 1956 along with Betty and lived to serve his Lord every day.

Survivors include his wife, Betty, of the home; son, Rick (Rayanne) Baker of Jonesboro, AR; daughter, Brenda (Perry) McDonald of Mountain Home, AR; three grandchildren, Haley (Stuart) Etheridge of Jonesboo, AR, Mallory (Matt) McGarity of Brookland, AR and Shane McDonald of Mountain Home, AR. Coy and Betty have seven great-grandchildren. Coy is also survived by two brothers, Charles Baker and Tilford Baker of Springfield, MO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws and many great friends.

Coy was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Sara Baker; brothers, Terrell (wife, Hazel), Warren (wife, Ruth) and his twin brother, Roy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Baker, Steve Baker, Mike Baker, Randy Baker, Danny Williams, Roger Little, Billy Green, Mark Hammett, Vance Morrison, Todd Pettit, Tince Sharp and Carl Looney.

Betty and the family would like to thank everyone for the support you have shown through visits, cards and phone calls during this past three years. They will never be able to thank the Hospice House employees enough for all they have done. They feel like family.
