Carolyn Rose Bradford

of Van Buren, AR

March 13, 1945 - February 1, 2023

On February 1st, 2023, Carolyn Rose Bradford was united with her Heavenly Father. She was unified with her beloved late husband, Jimmy Don Bradford, and siblings; Bobbie Sue (JW) Nicholson, Veda Jo (Ed) Hutchison, Joe Jr. Canady and James Ray Canady. Carolyn was a member of the Bee Branch Baptist Church.

Carolyn, born to Joe Canady and Vera Jo Canady on March 13, 1945, is survived by her daughter, Shawn and son-in-law, David Stobaugh, grandchildren; Taylor (Duncan) Starr, Zac Stobaugh, great grandchildren; Zoey Grace, Ian Starr and distinct friend, Elmer McCall, all of Van Buren, Arkansas.

Carolyn attended South Side High School where she met her future husband, Jimmy Don. Carolyn and Jimmy Don would be happily married for 42 years. In these years they built a family full of love and adventure. The couple enjoyed traveling the countryside on their motorcycles with close friends and family. Carolyn was a devoted basketball fan and enjoyed following her daughter's career in college athletics. Carolyn and Jimmy Don purchased what is known as the Art Scanlan House of Bee Branch, built in 1906. The couple restored the residence in 1994, rivaling its original beauty, around the time her first grandchild, Taylor was born. The home was featured in the National Register of Historic Places.

Carolyn retired from the South Side School District after 32 years of teaching. She loved children and would often reminisce on memories she made with her students. Carolyn carried this love for children throughout her life. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. For many, she was simply known as ''Mom.'' Her infectious energy and laughter will live on in the hearts of her loved ones forever.

A memorial service to celebrate Carolyn's life will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at the Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas.
