Glenna Conyers, of Batesville, lost her battle with Parkinson's disease on Saturday, January 28, 2023 but she won her victory in Heaven. She was born July 23, 1938 in Strawberry, Arkansas. She was the daughter of John and Nancy Norman Smith.

She was a charter member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Batesville, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was retired from being the school secretary for the Desha and then Batesville School District. She loved going to church, witnessing for Christ, crocheting, growing flowers and being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Rev. Austin Conyers; her parents, John and Nancy Smith; brothers, Eldon Smith and Zeke Smith and sister, Ethel Mae Smith Willmuth.

Survivors include two daughters, Roetta Tucker (Gary) and Teri Kimmer (Paul) both of Cushman; one son, Darrell Conyers of Batesville; six grandchildren, Stephanie Kimmer Hayes (Bart) of Charlotte, Stephen Kimmer of Cushman, John Tucker (Brittney) of Cushman, Mary Tucker Thompson (Justin), Justin Conyers (Meagan) and Whitney Conyers all of Batesville; eight great-grandchildren, Hallie and Ethan Hayes, Alayna and Rylee Tucker, Bonnie and Tucker Thompson and Wyatt and Wynn Conyers. She is also survived by three sisters, Johney Walker and Evelyn Huskey of Batesville and Janis McPhail of Horn Lake, Mississippi and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are her grandsons and grandsons-in-law, John Tucker, Stephen Kimmer, Justin Conyers, Bart Hayes, Justin Thompson and nephew, Randy Walker. Honorary pallbearer will be Danny Matthews.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Batesville officiated by Reverend Jerry Medlock. Burial will follow at Barnes Cemetery near Bethesda.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Friday, February 3, 2023 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
