June "Nana" Maybell Crawford

of Mountain Home, AR

June 8, 1941 - January 17, 2023

June Maybell Crawford was born June 8, 1941 in Marble Falls, Texas to Bert William & Mabel Lee Blake. She was welcomed to her heavenly home Tuesday, January 17, 2023. She was 81 years old. June was preceded in death by her parents and by her stepfather, Bill Denny, as well as 3 siblings, Betty Warja, Kenneth Blake and Donald Blake.

She is survived by her 3 children, Kelly Martin (Tim) of Henderson, Arkansas, Stacey Covington (Rodney) of Mountain Home, Arkansas & Jason Crawford of Bergenfield, New Jersey; as well as 5 grandchildren, Caitlin Walker (Michael) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Cara Marsh (Ryan) of Springdale, Arkansas; Blake Covington (Alexandra) of Frisco, Texas; Olivia Tilley (Austin) of Springdale and Cassie Martin of Rogers, Arkansas. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, Mabel Lee Marsh, Rhett Stephen Walker and Brooklyn Lea Tilley and twin grandsons-on-the-way, Mac Ryan Marsh and Henry Paul Marsh. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, John Warja of Bolivar, Missouri and one niece, Suzanne Lowery (Kevin) of Bolivar, Missouri.
June was a proud graduate of Mountain Home High School, class of 1959, where she was a cheerleader and Annual Queen. She loved watching all her grands play sports for her beloved alma mater. She was very competitive in everything she did, whether it was ping pong, cards or bowling, where at one time, she bowled on 3 leagues a week.

June was the original Bomber Band Mom, preparing meals and travel sack lunches for her children and their band member classmates over a 13-year span. She followed Robert Nelson's and Bill Maxwell's Award-Winning bands all over the region to every single band competition while her children were band members.

June loved her family deeply and well, spending her life as a homemaker and excellent cook, seamstress and baker of all things, most notably her world famous 'Chocolate-Chippers'. She also loved to crochet Afghans, mostly to give away as gifts to friends and family. She spoke with her children every day and saw them in person several times a week; she spoke with her grands at least once or twice a week, ending every conversation with her signature signoff: 'LOVE YOU MORE'. Her greatest joy was spending time with all her kids and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She loved her church families, both at Riverside Church of Christ and Mountain Home Church of Christ, building lifelong friendships in both churches with her fellow believers. And, most importantly, she loved Jesus
