
Vera Cantrell

Vera Olive Cantrell, 89, Anderson, Indiana, formerly of Cave City, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior.
She was born in Sharp County on April 6, 1917 and was the daughter of Rufus and Lollie (Wadsworth) Milligan. She retired in 1975 from Delco Remy in Anderson, Indiana after 30 years of service. She was a 30 year member of the Mount View Baptist Church of Cave City and attended the Landmark Baptist Church in Anderson. She was a member of the UAW Local 662; loved gardening and going to her grandson's baseball games.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Manuel and Toni Cantrell of Anderson; and Tom and Beverly Cantrell of Daleville, Indiana. She is also survived by four grandsons and their wives: Dennis and Marjorie Cantrell of Bolingbrook, Illinois; Terry and Lisa Cantrell of Goldsboro, North Carolina; Matthew Cantrell of Daleville and Michael Cantrell of Muncie, Indiana. Her great-grandchildren: Angie Wanner, Corey Cantrell, Elijah Cantrell and Noah Cantrell also survive her. She is also survived by her great-grandchild, Brandon Wanner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alvin F. Cantrell, several brothers and several sisters.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at the Mt. View Cemetery in Cave City under the direction of Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City. (870) 283-6602.
