of Lexa, AR

March 12, 1934 - November 11, 2022

Virgil (Pete) Theodore Hardy passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Friday, November 11, 2022. Virgil was born March 12, 1934 in Leachville, Arkansas, the fourth of six children. He is predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Eunice Hardy and all of his siblings, as well as his two sons, Jeff and Mark. He is survived by his wife, Pat; son, Tim (Joani) Hardy; daughter, Debbie Wildt (Wally); daughter-in-law, Mary Beth; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Raised in Northeast Arkansas, Virgil moved to Michigan as a young man and raised his family while working first in a steel mill and later in a paper mill, for over twenty years. He eventually returned to Arkansas where he met Pat and settled with her near Lexa. They were married for over forty-eight years upon his passing.

An avid outdoors-man, he and Pat were active members of the Jackson Point Hunting Club, where they created years of memories running up and down the Mississippi River and roaming through the woods.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to your nearest animal shelter.
