Donald W. Terry, 78, of Alexander, Arkansas passed away, Thursday, November 10, 2022 at his home. He was born on May 24, 1944 in San Diego, California to Carl and Freda Terry. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sharon Terry and his wife, Elizabeth Annette Terry.
Donald is survived by his wife, Janan; son, Brad (Natalie) Terry; daughter, Kim Cunningham; grandchildren, Tonya (Josh) Lawson, Tiffany (Nathan) Watkins, Blake Cunningham, Bailey Cunningham and great grandchildren, James Arthur and John Terry Watkins. Don was a loving father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to everyone.
Don grew up in Marshfield, Missouri where he excelled in both band and football. He married his high school sweetheart and had two children. Later they moved to central Arkansas to follow his job with AAA insurance. He retired from AAA to open RO-AN music center and had a full second career with music and piano tuning. His love of Christ and music came together with his soulful deep voice in a Gospel group known as The Happy Day Singers and later on in the group, Level Ground. He served many years as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher. He also volunteered as a ring announcer for 21 years with Arkansas Amateur Boxing. He was a beloved magician, known by many from his time on the Bozo Show, as well as his many commercials and the radio show he hosted with his best friend, Dick Price. He was a licensed pilot and an all-around goofball. To know him was to laugh both at and with him.
