Mamie Louise Mullally

of PlainView, AR

September 10, 1933 - October 15, 2022

Mamie Louise Mullally, age 89, of Plainview, Arkansas departed this life to join family and friends in her heavenly home on October 15, 2022 at home surrounded by family. Mamie was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend. Mamie, AKA Mamaw, was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Mamaw was born September 10, 1933 in Marvell, Arkansas to Bruce and Tenie Grider Glassco. Mamaw is preceded in death by her parents; the love of her life, William E. Mullally (Billy); daughter, Gina Mullally Draffin and her brother, Leo Glassco.

A junior in high school, Mamie met Billy at a ball game. That's where their love story begins. They both were eager to be together as Billy was soon to leave overseas for war. Telling a story about her age, Mamie and Billy were married on October 21, 1950 when she was just 17. This was a well-kept secret from their girls and grandbabies for many years. Their romance lasted for 54 1/2 years until Billy was called home to Glory.

Mamaw leaves behind daughter, Teresa Hill (Danny); four grandchildren, Melissa Long (Joseph), Mandi Robertson (Zack), Joey Davis (Lori), Phillip Davis (Brittany); four great-grandchildren, Daxton Robertson (Krista), Bradley Goad, Gracie Robertson "Baby Kitty", Dawson Davis, Hallee Davis, Mason Davis, William Dacis and Chandler Davis; one great-great-grandson, Boone Robertson and one step-grandchild, Johnathan Long (Kristen). Mamaw also loved Danny's family like her own.

Mamaw was a devoted Christian. She was a member of the Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church, but attended Valley Home Missionary Baptist Church while living with Danny and Teresa. Second to her faith was family. Mamaw was a stay- at- home mom until Teresa and Gina left home. She then went to work for ACE Hardware in Elaine. Her favorite thing was babysitting and spoiling the grandbabies, which she did well. When she wasn't corralling grandbabies, she could be found reading a good book or working on a word find book.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Long, Zack Robertson, Daxton Robertson, Bradley Goad, Wayne Hill, Johnathan Long, Ethan Ramthun and Gary Inman.

Honorary Pallbearers are Gracie Robertson, Boone Robertson, Jeff and Lori Glassco, Bob McKinney, Joe Murphy and Clark Wallace.

The family would also like to thank Dr. Kyle Roper, Dr. Srinivas Vengala, Terri Wells, APRN, Gentiva Hospice of Waldron, Melissa Long, Gracie Robertson and Shayna Hill for their care and support.
