Dorothy Lee Grantham

of Wynne, AR

April 12, 1939 - September 7, 2022

Dorothy Lee Grantham, age 83, was born in Parkin, AR and was a resident of Wynne most of her life. She recently celebrated her 65th wedding anniversary, August 11, 2022. (The picture you see was their 50th wedding anniversary.)

She retired from the Wynne Public Schools and has been a faithful supporter and member of the Baptist Denomination for many many years. She befriended the students she served and shared her talents as a volunteer down through the years at TriCounty Baptist Association Youth Camps.

If you knew her then you knew that she loved to cook. She was the ''go to'' for the family's Thanksgiving dressing. She was that one! She even tried to teach all of us how to make her delicious Thanksgiving Dressing. ''Not too much sage and just enough chicken broth so it wasn't too dry.'' We loved to brag on her dressing by telling her that she was the only one who knew how to make dressing. She loved to know that she was needed.

Joe and Vickie wishes to thank everyone who has prayed, helped and those who have been present, to check on and have supported the family during these difficult days.

A very special THANKS to all of the acquaintances, such as the Employees at RiverRidge, those in the health care industry and to those who work at Hospice Care. We appreciate you for making our family a priority!

She is survived by her son, Joe Grantham (wife Phillis) and daughter, Vickie Martin (husband Kirk); sister, Minnie Pitman from Bartlett TN. and brothers, Bill May from Hickory Ridge AR. and Bob May from Parkin AR.

Grandchildren are Trey Martin, Daniel Grantham (wife, Kelia), Kenzie Smith (husband, Adam).

Great grandchildren are Beau Smith and Wyatt Grantham.

She's preceded in death by her parents Joe and Mary Lou May; her husband, Jimmy Grantham; her sister, Agnes Melton; brother, Buddy May; sister, Jimmy Lou Loveless and sister, Judy Martin.
