Artie "Buff" Odom III, 65, of Horseshoe Lake, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. Artie was born on May 22, 1957 to Mr. Artie Odom Jr. and Mrs. Mary Ann James in Newport, Arkansas.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in West Memphis, Arkansas. He spent 40 as a Chief Engineer of riverboats and 30 years at Canal Barge. You could also find him going to concerts and being a part of local BBQ cook teams. His downtime he spent with family, watching the Memphis Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks, hanging on the lake fishing or just at home loving his fur babies, Holmes and Watson, Maggie and Alley Cats.
Surviving him is his wife of 20 yrs, Alesia "Penny" Brown Odom; one son, Michael Odom; two Step-sons, Billy Leaptrot (Casey) and Mickey Leaptrot; two grandchildren and two sister-in-laws, Yolanda Odom and Kaye Skillern (Billy).
Preceding him in death were his parents; two sons, David and Keith; two brothers, Dennis and Glenn Odom; two sisters, Sharon Odom and Susan Davis and two fur babies, Holmes and Watson.
Visitation will be in the chapel at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, 201 North Pine Street, West Memphis, Arkansas from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. Services will be in the chapel at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
