Patricia Ann Wallace

of North Little Rock, AR

February 8, 1940 - August 29, 2022

Patricia Ann Wallace of North Little Rock was a woman known for her love of the Lord, her family and her friends. Pat was a true steel magnolia and the character and intellect of her children, grandchildren and great grandchild are a testament to her steely resolve to raise a loving, Christian family.

Her spiritual gift was hospitality and many people in central Arkansas and beyond have been blessed by a meal made by her sweet hands. She loved to entertain friends and family in her home and delighted in organizing these get-togethers.

Some of her favorite things included: Bible Study Fellowship, Sunday School at Park Hill Baptist Church, Master Gardeners and last but definitely not least, her bridge groups. But her most favorite activities involved playing any card or board games with her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She was also Olympic-caliber at Rummikub (unless she was playing with her dear friend, Marianne Gosser).

She finally got to go to Heaven on August 29th, 2022 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She passed away surrounded by her family who entertained her with stories, laughter, prayers and love.

Pat was born on February 8th, 1940 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to George Stewart Daunis and Adaline Patrick Daunis. After moving to Little Rock, while attending Little Rock Central High School and in spite of many warnings, (including one phone call from a concerned teacher to her mother), young Patricia began to date a juvenile delinquent named Jimmy Wallace. Patricia must have seen something in him that no one else did because she worked hard to put him through law school at the University of Arkansas and they loved each other just as much in year 62 as they did when they began dating at Little Rock Central High School in 1957. She had three children whom she raised to love Jesus and as a direct result of her parenting, her children were able to garner the love of spouses she would always love as her own.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother, Charles Underwood Daunis.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, James R. Wallace; her daughter, Ashley Reeves (Sam); her middle child, Jennifer Jackson (Nelson) and her son, Carter Wallace (Jennifer). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Samantha Thurman and Lindsey Reeves, James and Valerie Jackson, Hunter and Hayes Wallace and great grandson, Henry Thurman. She is also survived by her first friend, her precious younger sister, Georgiann Garst. Also surviving her are many beloved nieces and nephews and her dear sister and brother-in-law Richard and Doretta Allen.

A visitation with the family will be on Friday, September 2nd, from 5-7 PM at Park Hill Baptist Church in North Little Rock. Patricia's life will be celebrated at Park Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, September 3rd, at 10 AM followed by a private graveside service for the family.

Memorials may be made in her memory to Park Hill Baptist Church.
