James Howard Croom

James Howard Croom, 92, of Marion passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at the Springs of Broadway in West Memphis. He was born June 28, 1930 in Tyronza, Arkansas to Jessee Abner and Guthrie Mae Thacker Croom. James was a member of the Marion Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon, young men's training instructor and a Men's Sunday School teacher.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Hiram Croom, Wiley Croom, Carl Croom and Charles Croom and two sisters, Hope Wilson and Ruth Neal.

James is survived by his wife, Lois Croom of the home; daughters, Patricia Foster (Terry) of Marion, Arkansas and Melissa Lovell (Jeff) of Batesville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Jessica Pertossian (Chris) of New York, Stephanie Lovell of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Adam Foster of Marion, Arkansas and Gavin Foster of Marion, Arkansas; one Great Grandchild, Margorie Pertossian of New York.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday, August 29, 2022 at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion with James Nichols officiating. Burial will follow.

Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis.
