Jimmy Neal CarterI am a Veteran.

of Greenbrier, AR

February 17, 1945 - July 12, 2022

Jimmy Neal Carter was born on February 17, 1945 in Conway, Arkansas. Jimmy always talked about the magnificence of one day walking on the streets of Gold. That faith and belief became a reality on July 12, 2022 as he got to meet Jesus face to face.

Jimmy was a devout and well-respected minister, retiring in 2016 after dedicating 39 years to the ministry. He graduated from Nazarene Bible College in1976 and was ordained as an elder in the Nazarene church in 1978.

Jimmy never met a stranger. His contagious laugh, goofy smile and funny story or anecdote for almost any occasion, always left a lasting impression on everyone he met. You never left without a smile or laugh after having a conversation with him. He loved people. He loved serving people, whether it was as a minister, a volunteer for Civitan helping those with special needs, or as a school bus driver mentoring young students.

Jimmy had many hobbies and talents throughout his life. He was a painter, a quilter, an embroiderer, a hunter (or so he thought), a fisherman and a musician. But his passion was his accomplishment and involvement in amateur radio. He was an active member of the Faulkner County Amateur Radio club and had made numerous contacts with people all over the world from his "HAM Shack".

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Hulon and Clara Mae Carter; a brother, Eugene Carter and sister, Glenda Bevil.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda Mae Carter; two daughters, Cami Bradley (David) and Cari Glover (Hunter); five grandchildren, Cameron Bradley (Crystal), Lauren Coffman (Michael), Sharady Richardson (Matthew), Colt Glover (Lindsey) and Madison Glover and thirteen great-grandchildren, Anneliese, Amber, Alexis and Carter Bradley and Penny Johnson, Colby, Ashton and Bradley Coffman, Ava, Hudson, Hayes and Rhett Richardson, and Lena Mae Glover.
