Jack Charles Stovall, 76, a resident of Scranton, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022, at his home.

He was born September 23, 1945, in Scipio, Oklahoma to the late Nealy and Lela (Crandell) Stovall. Jack served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he spent many of his working years in home construction with two of his brothers. In his spare time, Jack enjoyed playing pool and dominoes. Jack also had the gift of writing heartfelt prose and poetry.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by ten brothers, Richard, Andy, Elmer, Melvin, Raymond, Jesse, Bob, Bill, Gene and Willis "Son" Stovall and a sister, Frances Lucille Jackson.

Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline "Jackie" Stovall of Newcastle, Oklahoma; a son, Jack Stovall, Jr. and wife, Amber of Vicksburg, Mississippi; seven grandchildren, Mercedes Flores of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Natalie Flores of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Nathan, Landon, Tyler, Colton and Robbie Stovall, all of Vicksburg, Mississippi; his first great grandchild is on the way; a brother, Buck Stovall of Brazoria, Texas; a sister, Ginger Cornstubble of Fort Worth, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jack was a proud American Patriot, a Christian and a Marine.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Fort Smith National Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
