Wilma Dean New Anderson,79, of Southaven, Mississippi passed away from this life on May 8, 2022, at Baptist Desoto Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on Feb. 8, 1943, in Helena, Arkansas. She worked at Hoffinger Industries and spent her spare time singing and writing country music. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother sacrificing anything she had to make life better for her family.
Services will be held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. Following the chapel service, interment services will be at Marianna Memorial Park. Roller- Citizens Funeral Home, 621 West Chestnut Street, Marianna, Arkansas 72360 oversees the service.
Wilma was born to the late Wilburn and Christine Rose of Helena, Arkansas. She was the widow of Bobby Lee New and Roger Anderson and is survived by her family. Preceding her in death were her three sisters, Peggy Vault, Kay Webb, and Jane Reed and one brother, Donald Rose. She leaves behind one brother, Ronald Rose, of Brickeys, Arkansas; two sisters, Wanda Smith of Forrest City, Arkansas, and Judy Akin of Rogers, Arkansas; one daughter Vickie May (Ricky) of Walls, Mississippi; two sons, Chris New (Cheryl) of Southaven, Mississippi and Jason New (Callie) of Hernando, Mississippi. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss and loved her dearly.
