Joey H Burch

of Marion, AR

June 28, 1955 - April 26, 2022

Joey Burch, 66, of Marion, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022. He was born to the late Joe H. Burch, Sr. and Ree Burch in Memphis, TN on June 28, 1955. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hughes, AR and he attended Hughes High School. He spent his summers skiing at Horseshoe Lake. He also enjoyed duck hunting, sometimes going on hunting trips with his friends.

After farming with his dad several years, he decided to pursue other endeavors. He was very creative and a natural born entrepreneur, always coming up with ideas. Joey started Delta Farm Tours bringing people to the delta to see how cotton, soybeans and wheat were grown and harvested. He also started the Delta Trader Shopping Journal which featured local businesses in West Memphis, Marion, downtown Memphis, Forest City, Wynne and all towns in between. Joey obtained his Coast Guard license and brought the amphibious Delta Ducks to downtown Memphis. At this time, he also opened the Snowden House Bed and Breakfast and Restaurant, but his real passion was real estate. He was a real estate broker with Outdoor Properties for 25 years. He loved his job and worked 24-7 selling recreational property and farms. With his exceptional knowledge of real estate, he had a successful career helping other people find property they were searching for.

Joey was nominated for the Arkansas Governor's Tourism award. Jimmy Ogle recognized him, in his farewell speech, for his contribution to Memphis downtown tourism. He was also the director of the Great River Road Tourism Promotion Association in Arkansas.

Surviving is Joey's wife, Pat; son, Kyle Karr (Amber); sister, Melinda Patrick (Charlie); grandchildren, Maggie and Max; niece, Paige Patrick and nephew Adam Patrick.

Joey enjoyed relaxing at Horseshoe Lake on the weekends. He loved animals and always had a dog and grand-dog. His furry companion and sidekick ''Buddy'' was always beside him and will be even into eternity.
