February 2, 1949 - April 24, 2022

Janice Rowland McMahon, age 73, passed away peacefully at her home with her family at 4:15 am, on April 24, 2022.

Janice was born on February 2, 1949, in Marked Tree, Arkansas, to her parents, the late Lester Wilburn Rowland and Talitha Mae (Ray) Provost Rowland of West Memphis, Arkansas.

Janice leaves behind her husband of 27 years, Junius Parham McMahon. Janice and Parham spent 34 years together. They were best friends and were very much in love. Parham never called her Janice, he only called her ''babé.''

Janice also leaves behind two daughters and nine grandchildren:
Dyanna Rowland McFarland of West Memphis, Arkansas, and her children, Molly Olivia McFarland, Jake Sawyer McFarland, Lucy Belle McFarland, Dylan Reed McFarland, Turner Steven McFarland and William Dutch McFarland; and Melissa McMahon Solis (Pedro) of West Memphis, Arkansas, and their children, Gabriel Anthony Solis, Jordan McKenzie Solis and Hanna Taylor Solis.

Born the second of four children, Janice is survived by her sister, Patsy Rowland Beatty (Mark) of Hixson, Tennessee; and her brothers, Kenneth Rowland (Gwen) of Cordova, Tennessee; and Larry Rowland of Panama City, Florida; and her five nieces and nephews, Paul Rowland (Chelsee) of Lake Worth, Florida; Shawn Rowland (Leslie) of Lakeland, Tennessee; Joy Rowland Johnson (Matt) of Spokane, Washington; Kaytlan Rowland Shanno (Corey) of Panama City, Florida; and Gabby Rowland of Cordova, Tennessee.

Janice worked at Baptist Memorial Hospital for 30 years before retiring in 2015. Her favorite place to spend time was her family's cabin on the Spring River in Hardy, Arkansas. For over 40 years, she made many wonderful memories there with her family, river family and friends.

Janice was very much loved by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed every single day.

In lieu of a funeral, a private family visitation will be held Thursday afternoon, April 28, 2022.

The family welcomes donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
