Bertha Liloene Styers

of Little Rock,

November 1, 1923 - April 15, 2022

Bertha Liloene Styers, 98, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on Good Friday, April 15, 2022. She was born in Double Springs, Tennessee on November 1, 1923, to Alvin and Selina Goolsby and was the fourth of seven children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, (Charles Goolsby, Mary Pierce, Jewell Herron, Inez Thomas, Jasper Goolsby) and her only son, Timothy Styers. Liloene is survived by her younger brother, Joe Goolsby; daughters, Tanya Traeger and Tami Crowe (Greg); grandchildren, Christopher Traeger, Jennifer Wilson, Ryan Crowe and Travis Crowe (Shelby); and two great-granddaughters, Olivia and Autumn Wilson.

Liloene moved at the age of 18, to Detroit to help support the war effort where she met Wayne Styers. They were married just prior to Wayne leaving for the Army. After the war, they relocated to Southern California where they both worked in the Aerospace industry. In addition, she also worked as a real estate associate broker.

Liloene loved to cook, sew and work outdoors in the garden. She was an excellent seamstress and sewed beautiful suits and most of her daughters' clothes. She never shied away from hard work, and was always happy to help others in need. Most of all, Liloene loved time with her family. She was a faithful Christian and lived a life in service to Christ.

Our deepest appreciation to Parkway Health Center and more recently, The Green House Cottages of Poplar Grove for their kind and compassionate care.

Per Liloene's wishes, her body has been donated to the Anatomical Gift Program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

A memorial service and celebration of life was held for Liloene by her family.
