Howard Dean YorkI am a Veteran.

of Hughes, AR

March 23, 1933 - April 6, 2022

Before dawn on April 6, 2022 Howard Dean York was called home to receive his promised reward.

In the presence of his savior Jesus Christ he is reunited with family and friends. I know he was excited to see his wife of 43 years (Bernice York), his dad and mom (Charles and Lena York), his sister (Mirtie), his brothers (Chaland, Fred and Raymond) and his grandson (Blake).

Howard was born in Keiser, Ark on March 23, 1933. He was a member of Horseshoe Lake Baptist Church. A football and track star at Kennett, Mo High School (state record setter on the track for running hurdles). Howard served our nation in the US Navy. A retired truck driver and a proud Teamster.

If you called him Dad, Papaw, Uncle Howard, Mr. York, Brother Howard, friend, neighbor or stranger you knew to were in the Company of generosity and kindness.

He leaves a loving family to join him later. 3 daughters and 2 sons: Patsy/Roy Latham (West Memphis Ark), Barbara/Harvey Latham (West Memphis Ark), Deana/Joey Fisher (Horseshoe Lake, Ark), Ricky/Katlyn Wilson (Judsonia, Ark) and Terry/Debbie York (Southaven, Ms). 12 grandchildren: Brittany, Jolie, Garet, Anthony, Kristina, Karen, Dawn, Aaron, John, Stephen, and Lisa. 13 great grandkids and so many nephews and nieces that I can't begin to name them without missing somebody that he loves dearly.

Please join us in celebrating a life well lived! If he ever said, ''I love you'' (and he did often) you can count on it being true.
