On February 27, 1956 she was born in Savannah, Georgia. She was the second of five children. At an early age Tina moved to Gulfport, Mississippi. She would spend a good portion of her life "on the coast" and "in the Kiln" with her countless Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Her family eventually moved to Picayune, Mississippi. She attended Picayune Elementary, Middle, and High School. She was an active member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She was a member of the Picayune High School Band on the flag team. Tina worked at Paul's Bakery from the age of 14 until she graduated college. In 1974 she became a student at Mississippi State University. She would teach Special Education at JF Wahl and eventually found her love in Early Childhood Education. She became a teacher at Great Rivers Education Co-Op where she taught up until January 2022. To Tina, every student became hers. She would affectionately call all of them her "kids". She would eventually become the director of the early childhood program after receiving her masters in Science, Curriculum, Special Education, and Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. She worked tirelessly for St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was dedicated to her religion and all those she touched with her faith.
