Mr. Hershel Wayne Colbert, 83, of Black Oak, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. Mr. Colbert was born June 1, 1938, in Caraway, to Charles "Buster" and Frankie Colbert. Hershel spent thirty years working at Southwestern Bell. He was a member of the Church of Christ and served in the U. S. Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

His parents preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-one years, Jane Colbert; sons, Mark Colbert of Black Oak and Scott (Tammy) Colbert of Monette; grandchildren, Weslan Colbert of Monette, Catherine (Taylor) Smith of Paragould; brother, Larry (Brenda) Colbert, of Bay; sister, Dana (John) Sherman, of Jonesboro; sister-in-law, Joyce (Herbert) Miller; and several nieces and nephews.

All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
