Deborah K Edingtonof Proctor, AR
February 10, 1955 - March 6, 2022
Singer, songwriter, musician, and creator of 'Mudline Rd. Music' Deborah 'Debbie' Edington joined Jesus and the harmonic angels of Heaven on March 6, 2022, at the age of 67. Debbie's passion for life and music did not come to an end with her death, as she leaves behind the gift of her music for all of those who love to hear her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe Edington and Freeda Edington of West Memphis, AR; her 3 brothers, (Vernon Edington, Dwight Edington, and Jerry Edington Sr.), her sister (Reba Sue Edington Peaks) and brother-in-law (Ray Peaks), as well as her nephews (Jeff Arick and Jerry Clifford Edington).
She is survived by her sister (Robin Suiter), brother-in-law (Charles Suiter), sister (Betty Daniels), multiple nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a great deal of other family members and beloved friends. Debbie loved God and was a devoted animal lover and advocate. She leaves behind 3 furry loved ones; her 2 dogs, Mozart and Natasha, and her cat Bella.
Born and raised in West Memphis, AR, Debbie lived a life as we all should, one filled with joyous passion and abundant love. She loved her family, friends, and animals wholeheartedly, and those who met her loved her equally in return. She was free-spirited, a fierce advocate, and loyal to no end. She never hesitated to help those in need and lived her life selflessly. As a result of her passion for music, she developed a career that she loved and enjoyed. When she was not blessing the world with her solo musical talents, Debbie spent time performing alongside Dana Leon Thweatt in their Americana acoustic duo 'Proctor Punch' and giving guitar lessons to other musicians. Amongst her many other talents, Debbie expressed her love for Halloween by dressing in notably creative costumes each year that won her numerous first place awards. She also enjoyed fishing, often bringing along family to share the experience with.
In remembrance, a memorial service for Debbie is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, March 19th at Avondale Baptist Church in West Memphis, AR.
