Hazel Blue, age 88 of Searcy, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2006 in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born July 1, 1917 in Center, Arkansas to Hade Hulett and Missie (Bearden) Hulett. Hazel was a former member of the College Church of Christ in Searcy and a school teacher for more than 50 years. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Travis Blue; one son, Roger Blue and wife Judy of Fayetteville; one daughter, Martha Nell Jenkins and husband Dean of Gardner, Kansas; two sisters, Mazel Coggins of Searcy, Bonnie Taylor and husband Dr. Chaney of Batesville; one grandson, Ryan Blue and wife Amy of Portland, Oregon; two great-grandchildren, Allison and Caleb Blue of Portland; four nieces, Becky Shelton of Batesville, Jan Taylor of Little Rock, Joann Hulett of Sikeston, Missouri, and Ann Rouse of Goldsboro, North Carolina; eight nephews, Stan Taylor of Cave City, Chaney Taylor, Jr. of Batesville, Keith Hulett of Evening Shade, Kenneth Hulett of Kennett, Missouri, Dr. Glen Blue of Searcy, Dr. Leon Blue of Searcy, Tommy Blue of Conway, and Leslie Blue of Paragould. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Hade and Missie Hulett; and one brother, Jack Hulett. Visitation will be Monday April 17, 2006 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy. Funeral services will be Tuesday April 18, 2006 at 10:00 am at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at White County Memorial Gardens. The family requests memorials to be made to the Paragould Children's Home, 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, Arkansas 72450.
