Annie Mae Crum, 82, of Little Rock, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2004. She was born April 11, 1922 in Hortense, Georgia. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Mary Ellen Byrd and Sandra Lynn Crum, her father, Claude Corbitt Middleton, Sr., and her brother, Donald Haney.

She is survived by her mother, Annie Marie Riggins of Nahunta, Georgia; and by her children, Claude Byrd, Herbert F. Crum, Jr. and wife, Marjie, John R. Crum, Karen Crum Chambers; grandchildren, Susie Beaton, Anthony Byrd, Jennifer Brown, Mary Byrd, Michael Crum, Brian Crum and wife, Stephanie, Sandra Marie Free and husband, Dustin, Carol Elaine Rowe and husband, Steven, John Daniel Crum, Patrick Dale Crum, and their mother Sheila Crum; Todd Varhalla and wife, Kim, and Robert Varhalla and wife, Andrea; Sarah Parker, Reba Chambers, Amber Chambers; She is survived by four brothers, Emory Middleton, Benny Middleton, Claude Middleton, and David Haney; sisters, Wilma Phillips and Thelma Middleton; and 12 great-grandchildren, including, Madalynn Marie Free and Christopher Steven Rowe.

We will miss you "Granny" mother, sister, daughter and dear friend. Your smile and your love will bloom in each flower we plant, and each time we cover ourselves with your beautiful blankets created by your hands. For all the sewn on buttons, mended teddy bears, hugs and nose kisses you gave us-rest now, you've worked hard.
The funeral service will be at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, June 17, 2004 at the Roller-Drummond Southwest Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home (501-455-5800).
