Barbara Gay West

Barbara Gay West of Memphis, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the age of 84. She was born August 26, 1937 in Bassett, Arkansas to parents William and Suddie Densmore.

Barbara was a homemaker taking care of the family mostly throughout her life. She was the wife of Clifton West for some 61 years before God called him home in 2020. She was a member of the Range Line Hills Baptist Church.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Melissa Hoffman (David) of Memphis, Tennessee, her two brothers Tommy Earl Densmore and William Everett Densmore both of Turrell, Arkansas and her sister Margie Evelyn Densmore of Alabama. She will be deeply missed also by her four grandchildren; Christy Dawn Burks, Daniel Kenneth Hoffman, Julie Hoffman Rider and Brian Clifton Hoffman. She is preceded by her parents, her loving husband, two son's George William Burks Jr. and Johnny Lee West as well as her sister Shirley Ann Williams.
