Lewis ''Fred'' Hargens was born May 27th, 1932 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late William M Hargens and Eugenia Sandel Hargens.

Fred married his beautiful wife, the late Phyllis Kendall Hargens, on July 5th, 1958.

He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After discharge, he resumed his duties as an electrician for the Union Pacific Railroad. He spent the next 34 years working at the shops in Omaha until they were closed and he relocated to Conway, Arkansas in 1988. He retired from the UP in 2004.

He spent the remainder of his 89 years doting on his son Fred and 4 grandchildren Samantha, Jennifer, William, and Abigail.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents and wife, as well as all of his siblings Mary, Dorothy, Elaine, William ''Bill'', James ''Speedy'', and Margaret.

He is survived by son Fred (Stacey) Hargens, grandson William Hargens, and granddaughters Samantha, Jennifer, and Abigail.

There will be a 1:00pm visitation on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas, immediately followed by funeral services at 2:00PM. Burial will be at a later date at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
