Clara Sue Hardy

of Mountain View, AR

December 16, 1942 - January 17, 2022

On Monday, January 17, 2022 at 11:22 AM, the Rose/Hardy family lost their beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Sue had a contagious smile that lit up a room. If you didn't know Sue, you would before the night was over and you can guarantee that she would have you posing for a picture and it would be at least 5 takes before she was finished. Sue was a very stylish, classy, elegant lady. She was kind to everyone and a friend to all.

Sue was born in the small town of Big Flat, Arkansas, to Lester and Clara Rose on December 16, 1942. Sue was the oldest child of seven, followed by Betty, Nathan, Nancy, Paul, Barbara and Pamela respectively.

Sue graduated in Oxnard, California and earned her nursing degree as an LPN, in the state of California. Her passion was painting. She started taking classes in California when she was young and became an incredible artist. Many of her award winning paintings are displayed in Mountain View Arkansas. Following in our mother's footsteps, Sue learned to be an amazing seamstress and quilter. She also created beautiful needlepoint, crochet and embroidery items. Sue was incredibly talented.

When Sue and Rudy retired 30 plus years ago they decided to move to Mountain View, Arkansas, where Sue's roots began. They became '' wannabe'' farmers raising cows, many stray dogs, cats, goats etc; they loved tending a garden together, and canned whatever they could. A beautiful blueberry patch was also tended lovingly and was eventually opened to the public.

Sue's extensive picture and video collection more than prove her complete LOVE of music. She could be found wherever the music was playing whenever she had spare time.

Sue is survived by her sons, Stephen Kirk Hardy, and Jeffrey Dean Hardy; her grandchildren, Troi Hunter, Nicole Hardy and Jennifer Schneider, and great granddaughter Scarlet Hunter; her brother Nathan Rose, and sisters, Nancy and Pamela Rose.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Clara Rose; husband, Rudy Hardy; brother, Paul Rose; sisters, Betty and Barbara Rose; and daughter, Susan Gholson.

The visitation and funeral service for Sue is Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. The visitation is from 12:00-2:00 PM and the funeral service following at 2:00 PM with Pastor Paul Mize and Rev. Don Campbell officiating. Interment is at the Historic Cemetery of Mountain View next to her husband, Rudy Hardy.

Pallbearers are Tony Chadwick, Kirk Hardy, Eric Mitchell, Clint Clark, Weston Mitchell, Eric Mitchell, and Wilder Mitchell.

Everyone that knew and loved Sue walked away with a little more sparkle in their life.
Sue was respected and revered for her strong love and faith in God.

Clara Sue Hardy, your legacy will live on forever.
