Marjorie Geniva Delong, age 86 of Harrison, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. She was born June 3, 1935, in Danville, Illinois, to Drew Francis and Ruby Hickman Zimmerman.

Her Lord and Savior was always first in her heart, she was a member of Trinity Faith Fellowship at the Iron Stob Chapel. Her kids were her life and she would do anything to spend time with her family. She enjoyed cards at any time of the day, with any kid who was willing to play. She loved finding hidden treasures at any rummage sale and enjoyed her flowers and her crafts

She was preceded in death by her parents Drew Francis and Ruby Hickman Zimmerman, her brothers Francis Zimmerman and Junior Zimmerman, her three sisters Juanita (Mickey) Romero, Elizabeth Ervin, and Mary Nicholson. Her husband Leonard Flippo, her husband Emmanuel DeLong, a son Danny Young, a granddaughter Jessica Young, and a great-grandson. She is survived by son David R and Marilyn Young Jr of Wake Forrest, NC, daughter Debora (Debby) West of Harrison, AR, daughter Rebecca (Becky) and Bob Vansandt of Harrison, AR, grandchildren Jonathan and Leslie Young, Laura and Evan Misek, Kathy and Daniel Guiterrez, Cindy and Mike Thompson, Danny Lynn and Amanda Young, Aleciaann Young, Amanda and Johnny Simon, David Gene Gilley. multiple great-grandchildren, and a multitude of friends and family.


The funeral service was Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Hale officiating. Visitation was an hour prior to the service. Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery.
