Julia Marie Black, of Searcy, Arkansas, passed away at 102 years old on December 14, 2021. She was born on January 24, 1919, in Minot, North Dakota to Reverend Clarence C. and Marie White. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 50 years (Robert), her son Paul V. Black of Laguna Hills, California, Her brother Paul White, and sister Ester Fish. Left to treasure her memory are children Robert Black Jr. and wife Nancy, Thomas Black and wife Nora, Michael St. George, Daughter-in-law Charlotte Black, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, and one great great great granddaughter.
Julia was a wonderful cook and gardener. During her life she was a seamstress, trained as a welder during World War 2, operated a dairy and beef cattle farm, and managed a grain farm for over 50-years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was highly respected and had many friends throughout the community. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Searcy for over 65 years. Memorial services will be held on January 29, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church at 10:00AM.
