James Ivy

James Ivy, 44, of Timbo, Arkansas passed away on December 5, 2021 at Stone County Medical Center in Mountain View, Arkansas. James was born on February 20, 1977 at Calico Rock, Arkansas to the late Junior and Odeline (Johnson) Ivy. James graduated as valedictorian from Timbo High School in 1995. He attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Master's Degree in Sociology. In April of 2000 through January 2007 James owned and operated Mountain View Flower and Gift Shop. In September of 2007 James began his calling as a funeral director at Roller Coffman and Roller Crouch Funeral Homes in Mountain View, Arkansas where he served families until 2021. James was a member of Red Doors Missionary Baptist Church where he served for many years as a deacon. James will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

James is survived by sisters, Peggy Harris and husband Mike of Big Flat, Arkansas, Vickie Jenkins and husband Larry of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Patricia Ivy of Timbo, Arkansas; one niece, Cassie Porterfield and husband Nick of Conway, Arkansas; two nephews, Brandon Jenkins of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Brett Harris of Little Rock, Arkansas; two great-nieces, Tenley and Rosalyn Porterfield of Conway, Arkansas; one uncle, Dwight Johnson and wife Kay; two aunts, Judy Johnson and Wilma Johnson; as well as a host of many extended family and friends.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Odeline (Johnson) Ivy; paternal grandparents, Ulis and Ruby Clark; maternal grandparents, Willis and Argie Johnson; two uncles, Oyd Johnson and Kertis Johnson, and one aunt, Diana Price.

Graveside services for James will take place on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, 12:00 PM at the Timbo Cemetery Pavilion in Timbo, Arkansas with Brother Junior Barham officiating. Brother Josh Looney will read the obituary and Brother Daryl Pitts will conduct the committal service.

Pallbearers are Nick Porterfield, Brandon Jenkins, Phillip Webb, Merlin Bontrager, Josh Avey, and Andy Avey. Honorary pallbearers are Members of Red Doors Missionary Baptist Church.
