Robin Suzanne Loyd

of Osceola, AR

February 6, 1962 - December 1, 2021

Robin Suzanne Loyd, 59, of Osceola, died Wednesday, December 1, 2021. She was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on February 6, 1962. When she was still a baby, our parents moved back to Arkansas. She was a school teacher for the Osceola School District and was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Osceola, where she sang in the choir. She was frequently asked to sing for special occasions, such as weddings or funerals, giving her the moniker ''The Wedding Singer.'' She felt that singing was her best way of worshipping the Lord and sharing her love with others. She was a proud Arkansas State Indian, graduating with her BA in education. She later earned her MA in literacy from Walden University. She was named one of the best teachers of the year in 1989 by the Walt Disney Educational Foundation. She was known for her love of animals and had an enormous collection of Peanuts memorabilia. Some students called her ''Ms. Snoopy'' because that was always the decorating theme of her classroom. She also loved travelling, especially camping with her family and cooking and spending times with friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara Felts and JC Loyd of Wilson; her grandparents, Anna Mae Walker and Thomas Franklin Felts of Joiner and Ruby Ward and Carl Loyd of West Memphis; by one brother, Roger Glenn Loyd of Osceola and her beloved dog, Belle. She is survived by one sister, Donna Loyd and her husband, Kevin Hilton of Blytheville; one sister in love, Karen Patterson Loyd of Osceola; two nieces, Jessica Ford and husband, Eugene, of Jonesboro and Michele Baldridge and her husband, James, of Brookland; two great-nieces, Kauri Rose and Genivieve Suzanne Ford of Jonesboro ; one great-nephew, Liam Baldridge of Brookland; two uncles, Carl Loyd Jr. and our beloved Aunt Betty of Elmer, Louisiana, and Bill Felts of West Memphis; two aunts, Helen Hutcherson and Juanita Murphy, both of Tomball, Texas; a host of cousins who were like siblings to her; her many dear friends who were family to her; and her dog Sadie. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: First United Methodist Church in Osceola or to any Animal Rescue Organizations.
