Mack R Johnson

September 5, 1940 - November 18, 2021

Mack Randle Johnson, 81, a resident of Benton, AR passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021. ''Uncle Mack is walking on two good legs and at peace with himself and all our loved ones in heaven.''
Mack was born in Grange, Arkansas to Claude C. and Ethel Johnson. After graduating high school in Strawberry, Arkansas he served our country in the United States Army. He later retired from AO Smith after 30 years to enjoy his many hobbies. He was an award-winning Master Gardener, crafter, square dancer, and yodeler for friends and family. He considered his nieces and nephews to be his own children and never missed events in their lives. He was a member of Oak Park Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Billy Van Johnson; sister- in- Law Louise Johnson; a nephew, Jerry Van Johnson; and a great-niece Jessica Jones Goff.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two sisters; Erma Jean Goff of Harrison, AR and Louene Simmons of Batesville, AR; nieces and nephews Vicki Henley (Larry) of Harrison, AR, Toby Finster of Batesville, AR; Tim Goff (Jay) of Houston, TX; Ricky Johnson (Lisa) of Breckenridge, TX; Tina Davis (Carley) of Camden, AR; Kim Schwartz (Scott) of Louisville, KY; Great Nieces and Nephews; Jeremy Sharp (Amber); Chelsea Roaden (Jared); Bentlea Schwartz; Carter Schwartz; Tyler Burt (Charlie); Casey McClellan (Will); and precious Great Grand Nieces Frankie McClellan; Trinity Sharp and Lily Sharp. He also loved his Dog, Maverick more than most anything. He had many other relatives and friends who will remember and miss him always.
The funeral will be held at Oak Park Baptist Church Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 10:00 am, with Pastor Gary O'Neal officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery near Cave City at 2:00 pm with Pastor Carley Davis officiating. There will also be visitation at the Roller Alcoa Funeral Home Monday, November 29, 2021 from 5-7.
Pallbearers will be Bob Pilkington, Joe Don Broadway, Bob McClarty, Eddie Glenn, Ernie Flowers, and Sam Hilterbrand.
