Evelyn Sue Stroud, 86, of Searcy, AR, went to be with the Lord, Sunday November 7, 2021. She was born in Cleveland, AR on September 24, 1935 to Borden A. Stroud and Beulah Amanda (Bridges) Stroud. She was their only surviving child.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her father, Borden Stroud, her mother, Beulah Stroud and many other relatives, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends.

Evelyn is survived by her cousins, Gayla Ritchie of Searcy, Arkansas, Leon Edens (Dora Ann) of Cabot, Arkansas, Wilma Webb of England, Arkansas, Loweda Hintz (Al) of Redding, California, Jean Edens of Sacramento California and many other extended family and friends.

Evelyn was a seamstress at Sunrise Drapery Shop until she retired. She spent most of her life in and around Faulkner County.

After retirement, she still loved to sew and was a proud member of the Dorcus Ladies at her church, Rock Solid First Assembly Church, Conway, AR. She attended Rock Solid until she moved to Searcy in October 2018, but continued to stay in touch with the dear friends she left when she moved. Evelyn loved her church family so much.

Funeral Services will be on Friday, November 12, at 10:00am at Roller McNutt Funeral Home, in Conway, AR. Burial will be in Hunter Hill Cemetery in Clinton, AR.
