Elizabeth Pauline (Roberts) Dyess, 92, of Batesville, went to Heaven Friday, October 8, 2021 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.

She was born March 11, 1929 in Saffell, Arkansas to George Roberts and Hancey Ada (Goff) Roberts.

Pauline was a member of North Heights Church of Christ in Batesville and enjoyed her time reading the Bible. She worked as a seamstress for 30 years and worked for Dr. Caplinger and Dr. Ladd Eye Care for 10 years. Pauline had a great wit and sense of humor; she was always positive with a great attitude and was always smiling. She loved all animals and bird watching; she would feed the birds every morning and early evening. She enjoyed working outside, raking leaves, gardening, and walking. Pauline was a great cook, and wonderful caregiver of her late husband, Pat. She loved working on puzzles and doing crossword puzzles.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Dyess of Quitman, Mississippi and Richard Dyess of Metairie, Louisiana; daughter, Linda Gracy of Blytheville; Goddaughter, Angela Davis (Mark) of Batesville; sister, Rhudene Melton of Strawberry; six grandchildren, Pam Crabtree, Richard Dyess, Jr., Cassandra Dyess, Chris Dyess, Lisa Jemison, and Michelle Gracy Lloyd; two great-Godchildren, Macy Davis of Little Rock and Reagan Davis of Batesville; two nephews, Gary Harp and Junior Harp; and niece, Rebecca Schroeder.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 49 years, Pat Harrison Dyess; sister, Ruth L. Harp; brothers, Eulen Roberts, Ernest Roberts, Lowell Roberts, and Noel Roberts; nephews and niece, Darryl Roberts, Paul Roberts, Jerry Harp, Edward Harp, and Sandra Duncan.

Honorary pallbearers are Reagan Davis, Mark Davis, Jeremy Wycough, Gary Harp, Junior Harp, and Bill Whittington.

Graveside services will begin at 2:00 pm Sunday, October, 10, 2021 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Dr. Ed Myers officiating.
