Karen Y. Amick, age 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Baptist health Medical Center in North Little Rock.

She was born February 13, 1941, in McAllister, Oklahoma, to Joe and Vestal Miller.

Karen was a 1959 graduate of White Hall High School and was of the Baptist Faith.
She retired from Crestwood Elementary School in North Little Rock at 16 years of dedicated service and was loved by many of her students and faculty.

Karen is survived by her husband, Gene, of 60 years of marriage; two sons, Scott Amick of North Little Rock and Steven Amick of Sherwood. Karen also leaves behind one older and four younger sisters scattered from Alabama through Arkansas to Texas, who will each miss her sweet smile and frank sense of humor.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock.

Burial will be private at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
