Kaye Lyn Black

Kaye Lyn Black, age 80, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 in West Memphis, Arkansas. She was born November 25, 1940 in Yorkville, Tennessee to parents Edward and Mary Lou Cooper.

Kaye was a member of the Missouri Street Church of Christ and worked many years as a cook on tugboats on the Mississippi River.

Survivors are her son David Black and his wife Christine of Clarksville, Tennessee and her daughter Vivian Ashley and her close friend Mike. She leaves five grandchildren who will deeply miss their grandmother, Valerie Nicole Obney, Kasey Howard, Devin Black, Derek Black and Logan Black. Kaye also leaves her three sisters, Neva Sue McVay (Benny), Terry Lea Spencer (Larry) and Mitzi Edd Brooks (Bobby). She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 2, 2021 beginning at 10:00 AM at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Arkansas followed by a Graveside Service beginning at 12:30 PM at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas.
