Gwen Rowan, 83, of Benton, passed away on August 12, 2021. She was born on September 11, 1937 in Benton, to the late Fred and Malinda (Kellums) Butler. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Rowan, one brother; John Henry Butler, and one sister; Sandra Rose.
Gwen was a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church, where she enjoyed attending and singing. She was a U.S. Postal Clerk and in her spare time enjoyed playing Dominoes and the piano.

Survivors include one son; Doug Rowan and his wife, Karen, one daughter; Deidra Ford, and husband, Kim, sister-in-law, Peggy Butler, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Sharon Cemetery with Dr. Michael Reese officiating. Open visitation will be during business hours (8:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M), at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Road, until service time.
