Jeremy "Shane" Shane Bridges

of Bartlett, TN

October 10, 1976 - July 10, 2021

In the early hours of July 10th, 2021, Jeremy Shane Bridges, 44, went home to be with the Lord.

Jeremy, or ''Shane'' as anyone he met knew him, was born on October 10, 1976, in Fort Worth, TX, to Letricia ''Trish'' Callahan and Jackie Bridges. The youngest of three, Shane was a charming and precocious child with an insatiable curiosity for building and mechanics. He would often take things apart and reassemble them, sometimes successfully and sometimes not. Much to his sister, Stephanie, and brother Joe's chagrin, he was able to charm his way out of trouble, earning him the title of ''Golden Child''. It was his inherent aptitude for mechanics that led him to the Tennessee Institute of Technology where he excelled in the aircraft maintenance program. Upon graduation, he spent the next few years travelling the world as an aircraft mechanic, from England to China to Japan, and most of the US. It was not until he met his future wife, Cierra, in 2002 that he decided to settle down and pursue a new career as a home renovation contractor. Shane and Cierra were married on February 14, 2003, and welcomed two daughters, Sophia Grace and Sela Christine, in 2010 and 2012, respectively. Aside from his love for his family and his work, he also loved riding dirt bikes, playing golf, and fishing. It was not uncommon for a round of golf to take longer than expected as he hated losing a golf ball and would hold up his hand and shout ''Mulligan!'' any time he hit a shot that he did not like.

Shane was a loving father, husband, son, and brother. He was outgoing and charismatic and rarely met a stranger. A five-minute conversation with him would leave you feeling like you had made a friend for life. To those who knew him, a world without his warmth is a much colder place.

Shane leaves behind his wife of 18 years, Cierra, and his two daughters, Sophia and Sela, his mother and stepfather, Vince and Letricia Callahan, his father and stepmother, Jackie and Mary Lou Bridges, his sister Stephanie Higginbotham and her partner Craig Hillburn, his brother Joe Bridges and his wife Alison, his stepbrother Justin Callahan, and three nieces, Morgan, Jessica ''Jessie'', and Emily and two nephews, Ben and Bryce.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Billy Joe and Virginia Henry, and his paternal grandparents, Alvin Bridges and Christine Gorman.

''We hold you close within our hearts, and there you shall remain, to walk with us throughout our lives, until we meet again.''
