Emily Sue Anderson Karg

of Batesville, AR

October 11, 1935 - June 25, 2021

Our beloved Emily Sue (Anderson) Karg, age 85, was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on June 25, 2021 with her family by her side after a courageously fought illness. Mommie Sue (Susie) was born in Louisville, KY on October 11, 1935 and graduated from Buchtel High School in Akron, Ohio. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Ronald Albert Karg for 64 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends; children,
Ronald (Cristi) Karg of North Manchester, IN, Rebecca (Edward)
McConnico of Simsboro, LA, Julie (Tim) Dozier of Batesville, AR,
Dorothy (Michael) Foley of Loveland, CO, and, Jennifer (Rodger) Wilt of Rockett, TX; grandchildren, Brett (Patricia Carvajal) Wilt, Rachel Foley (Dave) Eads, Christopher Foley, Kessie (Nick Clark) Karg, Wendy (Cody Melton) Dozier, Emily McConnico, Jackson (Erin) McConnico, Max Karg, and Natalie (Michael Rawls) Wilt; Great-grandchildren, Bradley,
Wesley, and Benjamin Eads, and Mack Melton; her brother, Leverett
(Ruth) Anderson, Jr., her High School 'BP's' (the Bosom Pals), so many wonderful extended family members and friends; and her loyal sweet companion Border Collie, Maggie Bee. Preceding her in death, were her loving parents Leverett Anderson, Sr. and Dorothy (Anderson) Anderson, and beloved grandson, Ryan Wilt.
Our Mommie Sue was a powerfully loving light and loving force. She was sharp-witted, funny, and gracious in ways that reflected her trust and love of God's plan, a true angel on earth. Sue and Ron have been members of the First Presbyterian Church for over 20 years. She was a devoted wife and mother with a true gift of modeling unconditional love for so many. Sue completed course work at the University of Akron and in addition to raising 5 children, had a life-long career in business administration working with numerous law firms and agencies in Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Iowa, and Illinois. She retired from the United Way of Independence County, AR in 2015.
