Christiane "Chris" Marthe Allison

of Bryant, AR

June 25, 1939 - June 20, 2021

Christiane ''Chris'' M. Allison, 81, passed away on June 20, 2021. She was born on June 25, 1939, in Lausanne, Switzerland.

She met her husband of 64 years, Harold, in England while he was stationed there while in the Air Force. They first met when she was competing in a beauty pageant.

Chris was a wonderful, loving, caring and compassionate mother. She wanted her children to have what she didn't have - a happy childhood - and she succeeded. She always made birthdays and Christmas extra special - she didn't have a birthday party until her 50th surprise birthday party given by her children. Mom rode horses even though she was scared, but she did it because the children were riding. She loved her Branson trips with her daughters; they went for 17 years until her health began to decline. She could walk circles around them shopping and walking. There was a time she climbed Pinnacle Mountain once a week.

Chris was always sending cards - birthdays, anniversary, mother's and father's day, sympathy, congratulations, etc. Her children, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends were all recipients of this kind gesture; she even had a box divided with different types of cards. Chris was a very caring and thoughtful person who loved to bless others with gifts or words of comfort and encouragement.

Chris taught herself how to type on a manual typewriter and to do shorthand. She could type 200 words per minute. She worked for Blaylock and Associates Engineering Firm for forty-five years; she retired in 2008.

Chris is survived by her husband, Harold; her son, Steve (Cortney) Allison; two daughters, Debra (Bill) Harvey and Monica (Stan) Wilder; four grandchildren, Krystle (Jason) Hall, Derek (fiancee Lindsey Trussell) Harvey, Jake (Braylin) Allison, Jared Allison; two bonus grandchildren, Geni (Jeremy Mimms) and Larry Wilder; two great grandchildren, Hayden and Madison Hall; two bonus great grandchildren, Brayden and Marlie Mimms.

The family would like to thank Tiffany Calaway, mom's nurse at her PCP's office, for all that she did for us as well as loving and caring for mom; she has been a blessing to us. Also, we would like to thank the many people at Arkansas Hospice who compassionately cared for mom during the last few weeks. Another thank you to Sherry Heathcox and Andrea Meurer for the stuffed dog they brought to mom she loved it and had it on her bed the whole time.

Thank you to all who visited mom and who are here today to honor her and help comfort her family. Thank you for the calls, words of comfort and compassion, love and prayers sent our way.
