Virginia Mae Kearney, 93, of Charleston, Arkansas formerly of Paris, passed away June 15, 2021 at her home with her loved one by her side.

She was born July 30, 1927, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to her parents, Albert John Lofe and Mary Elizabeth (Ulichney) Lofe. She lived in southern California for thirty-seven years before moving to Logan County, Arkansas in 1983. A businesswoman and real estate developer, she was co-owner of Grove Lumber Company in Torrance, California, Vice President of Kearney Enterprises, Inc., in Paris, Arkansas and was the owner of International Domestic Imports (IDI) in Los Angeles, California. She worked under NASA on top secret reconnaissance systems and did reporting for various California newspapers. She was a life member and past president of the D.A.V. Auxiliary in Paris and a past member of the Board of Directors of the Western Arkansas Counseling and Guidance Center in Fort Smith. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Paris, a member of the choir, the Guild Circle, Co-Chairman and Secretary-Treasurer of the Love Circle, the Administrative Council, the Finance Committee, Unit Treasurer and past Secretary of the UMW and past coordinator of the Friendly Outreach Ministry for almost ten years, the Saturday Noon Butterfly Girls group and the Mt. Magazine Centerfold Red Hat Society. She also co-owned Brushy Mt Ranch in Paris and was a land developer.

She is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-three years, William C. ''Bill'' Orchard; two sisters, Eleanore Mou of Artesia, California and Jean Davis of North Tustin, California.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Frank Kearney of the home; one daughter, Charlene D. Orchard of Salt Lake City, Utah; two step-daughters, Christy Grist and husband Wayne of Paris, Doreen Kearney and husband Jason Holland of Boston, Massachusetts; two stepsons, Joey Kearney of Paris and Chad Kearney and wife, Samantha of Castle Rock, Colorado; several step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews.

Memorial Visitation will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 26, 2021 followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 2:00 P.M. at Roller Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Judy Hall. A private family burial service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris.
