Eugene "Les" Leslie WeschI am a Veteran.

of Yellville, AR

December 13, 1958 - April 23, 2021

Eugene Leslie ''Les'' Wesch - a devoted husband, father, son, and a friend to all- passed away
peacefully on Friday, April 23rd, 2021, at his home in Yellville, Arkansas, surrounded by family. He was 62.

Born December 13, 1958, in Mexia, Texas and raised in Kermit, Texas by his parents Mary and Vince Wesch, Les was a life-long resident of Texas until his final years in Arkansas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Wesch; three children Cassandra Wesch and fiance' Adam Verner of Miami Beach, Florida, Brian Gougler and wife Michelle of Denver, Colorado, and Philip Gougler and wife Kaci of New Braunfels, Texas; sister Joy Bittner and husband Jeff of Leawood, Kansas; brother Keith Wesch of Grand Prairie, Texas; half-sister Leah Friedman; niece Savannah Bittner; grandchildren Brian Gougler Jr, Logan Gougler, Cameron Gougler, Kayla Gougler, Madilyn Gougler, Molly Gougler, and Noah Trent; as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Mary Wesch; brother Wesley Cantrell; and grandparents Edna Era Crouch-Burns and Scott Vernon Burns, and Hilmar and Rosa Wesch.

Les was a patriotic man that proudly served our country in the United States Navy and committed his working career as an aircraft inspector for 30+ years. His work was his passion, having never missed a day in three decades. His tireless work ethic is reflected by the outpour of love and adoration from his colleagues and friends.

From 2005-2016, he volunteered for Nehemiah's Vision and Texas Baptist Men doing mission work across all of Texas. He was also a hospice volunteer from 2003-2016.

In his spare time he enjoyed his homestead just outside of Dallas, Texas where his weathered hands worked the land and raised his animals, including his favorite horse, Apollo. He loved skiing, golfing, fishing, and playing dominoes with friends. He was a family man and great friend who touched so many lives.

He will be remembered for his sweet generosity, kindness, positivity, unfailing work ethic, and his willingness to help anyone in need.

In these last few years when Multi-System Atrophy robbed him of his strength and stamina, it also gave him a softness we treasured. During this time, he taught us patience and allowed us to show him a small measure of the service he had long shown all of us.

Les Wesch will be deeply missed by all who knew and love him. He will forever live within the hearts of his loving family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, April 29, 2021, at First Baptist Church, 104 W. 3rd St, Yellville, AR, 72687. Rick Pyron will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the First Baptist Church of Yellville.
