On Thursday, April 8, 2021, Ashley Howell, loving partner and mother of five children, passed away at the age of forty-one years. Ashley was born on April 1, 1980 in Paris, Arkansas to Charles Layes and Cindy Koch. She received her B.B.A. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2004 and practiced accounting for seventeen years.

Ashley had a passion for gardening. She could be found on good days in her flower beds bringing them to life. Her green thumb was admired by friends and family alike, frequently giving out tips and helping anyone who asked. Her greatest passion was her family; any child in sight immediately took to her and vice versa. Spending time with her family was her most cherished time. She loved traveling the states and a few other parts of the world, sometimes alone with her partner and other times with family. Whether it was talking for hours on the phone to catch up with those farther away, planning special events for her children to fit their unique personalities, decorating the house for each passing holiday, playing games around the kitchen table or living room. Watching countless hours of special television shows with her partner, family feud with her son, lounging around the house or lying in bed with whoever was around in need of her at the time.
She will forever be remembered for her infinite love, compassionate heart, her special laugh that filled the room, her deep beautiful blue eyes and sincere smile. She was strong-willed, complex, and private who always used her strengths to uplift those around her, which made the whole of her shine ever so bright.

Ashley is survived by her life-partner Tim, her five children, London, Parker, Noah, Alex, and Brantley, her four siblings, Craig, Brent, Jesse, and Katie, her mother Cindy, her father Charles, and several nieces and nephews.
