Lucy Dora Inger

Lucy Dora (Puddephatt) Inger, 94, of Clarksville, Arkansas went to be with our Lord April 2, 2021. She was born April 22, 1926, at Whelphey Hill in Buckinghamshire, England, to the late John and Evelyn Myra (Young) Puddephatt. Lucy met the love of her life Doug (Wilbur) Inger during WWII. Lucy and Doug married on January 25, 1947 in Waukon, Iowa. In March of 1951 Lucy became a United States Citizen. After Doug retired, they settled in Scranton, Arkansas in December of 1981. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Extension Homemakers Club, and a member of the Good Sams Camping Club. She enjoyed gardening and fishing. Lucy always loved making cookies for her friends and phoning her friends often.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Wilbur (Doug) H. Inger, three brothers: John, Fred, and Roland; one sister Joyce.
Lucy is survived by her nephew, Neal Baty; two nieces: Angela Burgin and Sue Kainz; one sister-in-law Jenny Inger.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Prairie View United Methodist Church in Subiaco, with Pastor Jeff Henderson and Pastor Aaron Madden officiating. Burial will follow in Ware Chapel Cemetery.

We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health Guidelines; all attendees are to provide and wear their own masks and practice social distancing during the service.
