Dr. Walter Randolph ''Dolph'' Oglesby, Sr., born August 18, 1933 in Dermott, AR, went to his Heavenly Home on March 24, 2021 in North Little Rock, AR, at the age of 87.

Dolph was the oldest of 3 children born to Randolph Oglesby and Mildred Bowden Oglesby. Dolph, or Dr. O as known by some, was a Psychiatrist with Delta Counseling in Monticello and retired in 2018. Before that, he had an extensive work history including the Department of Corrections, Arkansas State Hospital, and he was also a Former Medical Officer with the United States Naval Reserve. He graduated high school from Dermott High School in 1951 and studied medicine at University of Arkansas at Monticello, St. Vincent's Infirmary, UAMS, and Arkansas State Hospital.

Dolph is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Caroline Kelley Oglesby of Maumelle; sisters Ann Houston of Palm Desert, CA and Cynthia Boshears of Maumelle; children Debbie (Lee) Brazzil of Greenbrier, Lisa Anderson of Maumelle, Stephanie (Dwayne) Lawrence of North Little Rock and Walter Randolph ''Dolph'' Oglesby, Jr. (Laurie) of Sherwood; step-children Lance (Kim) Woodard of Kosciusko, MS, Lenette (Johnnie) Stinson of Richton, MS, Levena Woodard of Little Rock and Lee Woodard of Mt. Magazine; grandchildren Kristy (Jimmy) Felton of Sherwood, Lauren Brazzil of Conway, Ryne Wood of Little Rock, Paige (Christopher) Fortner of Greenbrier, Robyn (Nathaniel) Hunter of Anchorage, AK, Rachel Anderson of Maumelle, Tori (Michael) Ishee of Mooresville, NC, Hunter (Aislynn) Woodard of Marks, MS, Amber (Greg) Smith of Winston-Salem, NC, Wesley (Courtney) Howard of St. Charles; great-grandchildren Kara Powell and Jacob Felton of Sherwood, Urijah and Gabriella Fortner of Greenbrier, Jackie Brazzil of Conway, Crews and Florence Ishee of Mooresville, NC, Zoe and Caden Smith of Winston-Salem, NC, Cooper, Juliana, and Savannah Joy Howard of St. Charles; soon-to-be great-great grandson Kayden James Powell of Sherwood and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

During his 30 years at Delta Counseling as medical director, the five counties they serve, he worked tirelessly to help his patients and their families to improve their lives and their communities in which they lived. He gave freely of his own time, never considering his own needs. No one can ask for a more caring, smart, dedicated Christian doctor, man, or friend. He was all that and more! Dr. O was loved by all who knew him. He loved the Lord and it showed with the numerous mission trips he was a part of. He had a wonderful disposition and wit that brought joy and pleasure to others. He was a great storyteller, loved people and his family. Dolph always had a smile and a hug whenever you would visit him. All of the grandkids remember him talking like Donald Duck! It was his best impersonation! He loved telling and writing stories about his family and he was also a good listener. God's compassion and tender mercy flowed through him. His many crowns in heaven must be truly as magnificent as he was!

A memorial service may be set at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's for Children in Memphis.
