Janice Mattix, of Valley View, passed away on March 17, 2021, at the age of 87.
She was born on October 5, 1934, to the late America Hamilton and Caspian Seay Mattix. She graduated from Valley View High School and had a long career at Craighead Electric Cooperative. Janice was a devoted caregiver to her mother for many years. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her dogs, decorating her historic home, and traveling with friends. In recent years she cherished her time with friends at Southwind Heights. She was a kind aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Janice is survived by her brother, Kenneth Dale Mattix, nephews Dan Mattix (Susan) and Mark Mattix (Lynn), and nieces Carla Mattix (Victor Johnson) and Teresa Mattix. She was preceded in death by her brothers Ralph Mattix and Charles Mattix.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
