Amy Lynn Richie

of Little Rock, AR

May 19, 1968 - March 15, 2021

I am AMY LYNN RICHIE, 52, of Little Rock, Arkansas. On March 15, 2021, some may say I lost a three-year battle with breast cancer. I say quite the contrary as I WON this battle and declared the past three years a VICTORY. I am now in my Heavenly home and have an enriched and perfect body as God promises to all believers in Christ.

I was born in Kansas City, Missouri on May 19, 1968 and grew up in Sherwood, Arkansas. In 1986, I graduated from Sylvan Hills High School with honors. From there, I attended the University of North Texas and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1991 with a major in accounting.

Surviving me is my husband, Wayne ''Oz'' Richie; daughters, Taylor and Sydney Ahart and their father, Wade Ahart; parents, Bob and Linda Knipe; nephews, Bradley and Justin Knipe; mother-in-law, Lois Richie of Mocksville, North Carolina; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers, and friends. My brother, Robbie Knipe, preceded me to Heaven.

My professional career has taken me from a part time job at McDonalds to wonderful places including Frank J. Wills Advertising Agency, The Arkansas Attorney General's office, National Bank of Arkansas, Arvest Bank, JPMS Cox Accounting Firm, and finally, Iberia Bank Mortgage. I have met hundreds of wonderful co-workers in my career that I call true friends.

I am also a proud member of the Church of Rock Creek where I am a volunteer and an usher. My church family helped me to grow closer to God and provided a wonderful path for the great relationship I have with my husband, family, and friends. Our teaching pastor, Greg Kirksey, performed our wedding vows and will conduct my final service. Oz and I were married in an art gallery. Special thanks to The Art Group Gallery in Pleasant Ridge Town Center.

I also love convertibles and have owned three of them. I am very happy to belong to the Porsche Club, British Motoring Club of Arkansas, and am proud to be part of a wonderful group of ladies called the ''Porsche Princesses''. I will be cremated and have requested my ashes be scattered in the wind during an upcoming fun run with my fellow car club members.

I love to help all people, stray cats and dogs, and feed the wild animals in the green belt behind our home. These are all God's creatures too. In lieu of flowers, cards, and food, I am asking for memorials / donations in my honor be made at https://www.gofundme.com/f/amys-fur-babies?qid=f1e5b7e8a9ca208cbcbd2fa6ff63dec9 to continue my passion for helping the needy and needs of the animals.

My final service will be made at Roller Chenal Funeral Home at 2 pm Saturday, March 27th, 2021 with visitation beginning at 1 pm. Everyone must wear their own mask.
